Golden Path Solutions partnership offers discounts to Chamber members
The Chamber will continue the partnership with Golden Path Solutions of Fargo to offer discounted membership for Chamber members. This collaboration reflects a priority we hear from employers across our region: building stronger, earlier connections with the young people who will become tomorrow’s workforce.
Our local schools are already helping lead this work. Detroit Lakes High School and others schools in the area have used Compass for the past two years to support career exploration and work-based learning. By continuing this partnership, the Chamber can help more employers participate in those efforts and show students the breadth of rewarding careers available close to home.
What is Compass?
Compass is Golden Path Solutions’ online workforce platform connecting students, educators, and employers. Students build profiles around their interests, talents, classes, and experiences, then explore local companies, career paths, sponsorships, and work-based learning opportunities. Employers can create profiles and opportunities that help students understand what a career looks like, what preparation it requires, and how they can begin building relevant skills.
Why it helps employers
For employers, Compass offers a practical way to strengthen the future talent pipeline. Businesses can introduce students to careers they may not know exist, share internships, job shadows, apprenticeships, mentorships, and other work-based learning experiences, and connect with schools in a more organized, scalable way. Employers can also highlight pathways involving regional colleges and promote sponsorships or tuition-support programs that help students prepare for in-demand roles.
A Chamber member advantage
Through this continued partnership, Chamber members will receive discounted price for its paid employer memberships, including a 20 percent discount on Awareness and Connections levels and a $500 credit toward Premium and Partnership levels. Each employer membership is good for one year, and the discount can also be applied to future years. Of course, members also have access to the Basic Membership, a free offering that allows employers to connect with schools and offer work-based learning to students. Depending on the service selected, those tools can help a business develop richer career profiles, build stronger connections with regional colleges, showcase scholarships or tuition reimbursement incentives, reach more students, and create a coordinated school-outreach strategy.
